Professor Eligibility Criteria
For a vacancy like this, it is of
foremost importance that the candidate fulfills the eligibility criteria set
forth by the commission. The Commission has defined a series of eligibility
criteria that are mentioned below, that the candidate is expected to ensure.
A. Educational
Qualification - The candidates must hold a B.E/B.Tech/ B. S/B.Sc (Engineering) and
M.E/M.Tech/M.S or combined M.Tech in Electrical Engineering with first
class or equivalent in any one of the degrees from a university recognized
by the commission.
B. Age Limit - The minimum age
limit of the candidates is 22 years. Even though there is no maximum age limit,
the age of retirement is 65 years.
C. Experience – There is no prior
experience that the candidate must possess but the candidate must have academic
excellence which will be verified during the selection process.
D. Nationality – The candidate
must be a citizen of India.

Professor Selection Process
The selection process
for the post of Assistant Professor in BPSC consists of 100 Marks of four
stages. Mentioned below is the detailed selection process for the candidate’s
reference.
- 20 marks are dedicated to the academic record
and research performance. A board/panel will survey the scholastic
exposition of the applicant.
- 40
marks are based on the candidate’s performance in the written test based
on the work knowledge and skills of engineering education. This will have
an objective type of 80 questions. The candidate will get 2 hours to
attempt the exam. For the engineering stream, the exam syllabus will be
the same as that for the ‘Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering’ (GATE)
entrance exam. The commission will soon notify the marking system to the
candidates. We are still unclear about the negative marking but the
commission should release details about it soon.
- The
stage of personal interview will help candidate score 15 marks
- 25 marks are for the Weightage to candidates
working on a contract basis on the post of Assistant Professor.
