Teachers are the most responsible and important members of our society, it is a profession that creates all the other professions. The teacher’s eligibility test in India is the basic test that all the individuals aspiring to become teachers have to attempt and pass. Lacs of the candidates from different parts of India appear for these TETs. Qualifying these tests doesn’t guarantee the recruitment of candidates. However, based on the candidate’s merit and UPTET cutoff marks, the candidate can now apply for and secure their career in any Government-run schools statewide.

The UPSEB has invited applicants from all across India to apply for the upcoming UPTET exams. The board will release an official notification and set of eligibility criteria shortly. This article will help the interested  candidates traverse through what to expect in the UPTET Cut off marks and UPTET result. In the batch of UPTET 2019, over 3.5 lacs candidates qualified for the exam while a total of 16 lacs applicants appeared for the exam. New candidates willing to apply for the 2020-21 batch of UPTET can start applying as soon as the board releases dates for the online application.

The Board releases information related to the cut-off for the UPTET on its official website for the ease and convenience of the applicants. We must remember that there are a variety of factors at play with respect to the Cut-off that the board decides. The ultimate cut off will be displayed as per the candidate’s category – OBC, SC, ST etc. Factors like the number of applicants, number of vacancies, the difficulty of the paper,  etc.  Candidate can use these steps to get the UPTET’s cut off marks

b) Click on the UPTET section on the menu bar
c) Click on ‘UPTET Cut-off'

The UPSEB will declare the results of the exams shortly after the written exam is conducted. The board is yet to release the official notification for the upcoming UPTET examination on its portal. The speculations are that the board may conduct the exams tentatively in November 2020.  Candidates can follow these steps to obtain their results from the UPSEB

  1. Go to updeled.gov.in 

  2. Click on the ‘UPTET’ section on the menu bar

  3. Click on ‘UPTET result’

The Candidate will require to have their registration number and the password they used while registering their account on the board’s website

It is very important for the candidate to meet the eligibility criteria that the board sets for the applicants. A candidate, with the highest marks in the TET, who doesn’t qualify the eligibility criteria, may get rejected by the board irrespective of their merits. There is a set of educational, Age, Nationality, Experience, etc that the applicant has to satisfy.

The interested candidate can find all the details related to the  exam and its application on the official website of the board or the candidate can also refer to Testbook.com. Once qualified, the Eligibility test is valid for a period of 5 years and there is no limit to the number of attempts for appearing for the UPTET exam. The board conducts this exam annually for all the aspiring teachers.
